INTRODUCTION What are Golfwits
Maps? IMPORTANT! Golfwits Maps
cannot be opened, viewed, printed, or recorded with any other application
except a Golfwits Round Recorder.
Golfwits maps are digital files
that contain hundreds of pieces of information that you can interact with
to see distances from any two points on the map that you choose, set shots
on the map that automatically generate your personal stats, print
scorecards, print Pro Books, track multi-round stats, and more...
What is a Golfwits Round Recorder? The Golfwits
Round Recorder is FREE software that you can download to your desktop PC,
Pocket PC, and Palm. This is the software application that allows you to
open a Golfwits Map and do things like Preview the course, Print
Scorecards and Pro Books, Score your Rounds, Track your stats, Show off
your rounds to your friends, and more.
So, how do I get
started? The following instructions explain in complete detail how
to get started. It is actually very easy. By following the instructions
below you will be able to install Golfwits and download your own course
map and use it on your desktop PC, Pocket PC, and Palm.

yellow numbered distance remaining to the center of the green floating
near the ball, we call this box the "Floating Indicator".

your ball came to rest on the course. You can adjust the location of the
ball by holding down the left mouse button and dragging. Note: the

want, the Club Selection dialog box will automatically appear. Select
the club you used from this list. You will see that the page on the
right is automatically populated with your stats.
- Repeat 2 through 5 for each shot to the green. When you reach the
green and record your shot, you will see the Putts dialog box appear.
- In the Putts dialog box you will see a black line across the top of
the dialog. Drag the black box across the line to the distance your ball
is from today's pin placement. You will only set this for the first putt
distance.
- From the putting matrix, select where each putt went and hit OK.
Note: If you chipped the ball in the hole from off the green, do not
make any selections in the Putts dialog box. Simply hit OK.
